Stainless steel bridge over a basement for a residential property

The design for this project was done inhouse with the scheme being drawn up and agreed with the client.

Production drawings were then made and the materials sourced.

Once fabricated, the frame was polished to a satin finish. The Eco Deck boards were fitted and stainless steel straining wires attached.

Because of access restrictions the handrail sections needed to be separate. The deck was fitted and then the handrail sections were bolted into position.

The wooden handrail was specially produced in Iroco – a beautiful hardwood from the west coast of tropical Africa – and finished with Osmo oil for weather protection.

This is only the first stage as there is still a staircase to fit and a suspended floor to construct in the basement.
